Youth Care is a small, intensive treatment center for boys and girls between 11 and 17 at time of admission, who have complex clinical needs. We have previously expressed concern about the fact that this facility has been part of Aspen, then later CRC Health, organizations with which we had lost confidence. In early 2015, Acadia purchased CRC Health, and with that, all of the remaining former Aspen Properties (remember, many had closed and others spun of to be freestanding and others purchased by other conglomerates).
We are not ready to express total confidence in Acadia, but we like what we see so far.
